you are doing good… But if ur concentration is in running… then u should time urself from point a to point b…thats the only way u can really tell if you are doing progress..healthy diet is a plus…no junk watsover
if you want to go out for track, you need to work up to 20-30 miles per week running, and try not to miss days
That depends on your physical condition and the intensity of your workout.
You can do your training for 2 hours in a moderate/low pace, or you can do 30 to 45 minutes in a very intense workout. Both are good and bring benefits.
You have to find what suits you best.

The fact that you’re walking is great! It’s good cardio, but I have a feeling that track is going to be a bit more intense and geared more towards running. Maybe try mixing in a bit of a jog as you go. You could also work on sprints…say run as fast as you can for 10 seconds, and then jog for 2 minutes or something of the sort, and repeat several times. I also recommend checking out a magazine called Runner’s World. It’s filled with great nutrition and workout ideas for both new and experienced runners. You don’t have to subscribe to the magazine either to read some of their suggestions. Just go to http://www.runnersworld.com and look there. Hope this helps!
At least 30 minutes of exercise on five days weekly.
