How to get and keep tight abs

By Ab Flyer | Oct 26, 2009

” So you want tight abs ” The road to great abs may not start with the tradition sit-ups but rather aerobic exercise. Unless you are very thin to start with, you probably have a few pounds around the waist. Those pounds need to be shed so you can show off that six pack. My son is a swimmer and he doesn’t do as much ab exercises as I do but he has amazing! abs. The reason, swimming burns a lot of calories and it requires the use of all your ab muscles. There are other great aerobic exercises such as jogging, tennis, biking, etc. They will all help burn off that fat! Once you have found the aerobic exercise you like it’s time to incorporate ab muscle building exercises. There are two schools of thought. Some people say you should work your abs everyday, while others say every other day. I have done both and haven’t noticed any difference. So I work my abs every other day. Whether you work your abs every day or every other day, you need a routine. Some people exercise in the morning, while others in the afternoon or night. Whatever you decide you must be consistent if you want those tight abs. After you decide on a routine, it’s time to get started. Your abs are separated in sections, lower, upper and oblique. If you want nice abs you have to work them all equally. I suggest starting with a low rep. count. Around 10 per exercise, then build. For upper, do setups or crunches. For lower, leg raises will do the trick. And for your oblique, do side crunches. V-setups are great for both upper and lower abs.

There are many more ab exercises, but this is a good start. However you want to exercise your abs, the main thing to remember is to stay with it. Don’t start off with to much. Start slow and build up and you will stay with it.

Good luck,
