A woman’s body is designed far differently than a man’s as far as fat storage goes. A woman carries an extra layer of fat on the abdomen. This is an energy storage layer for pregnancy. It also helps preserve the woman’s life in times of famine. Unfortunately, it seems this is the favorite place for the body to store all the extra fat instead of distributing it evenly so it doesn’t show as much. For every pound of fat the body needs to create more than a mile of extra capillaries to send blood and oxygen to. That’s more work for the heart. Imagine a water pump capable of pumping 5 gallons of water an hour. With 1 acres of land to water it does fine. Now imagine another acre of pipes added to that same pump. To maintain the same level of growth and maintenance, the pump is strained to keep up. As more and more pipes are added, this pump is worked beyond its capacity. It’s eventually going to break down. Just like the heart can’t keep working over its designed capacity forever.
