Fitness plan for becoming overall fit?

By Ab Flyer | Mar 14, 2010

Im pretty set on working out every day once school ends and coming back absolutely ripped.

My planned schedule is:
Sitting on chair, 1 dumbbell between legs and working one arm at a time until it gets tired. And maybe repeat once.

Sit on ground, bunch press until Im tired. Repeat 1-2 times.

I can do a bunch of sit -ups so I dont think I need to work on Abs.

And for cardio, once cross country starts, (prob 1-2 weeks before school), I’ll be running a few miles everyday which will help me. So I dont have to work on that over summer, and I don’t look fat or anythings anyway.

But now you guys are telling me I might look weird if I dont exercise certain parts? What else can I do?

Curls and bench presses alone will get you nowhere near a ripped body. Start your cardio sooner, give yourself a head start on that.

You want to take your muscles and split them into groups: shoulders, biceps, triceps, pecs, back, abs, legs. Then work each group once a week, and do cardio on your off days, with 1-2 rest days a week.

    I do:
    mon: legs and shoulders
    tues: rest
    wed: chest and triceps
    thurs: cardio
    fri: back biceps and abs
    sat: cardio
    sun: rest

Do 2-3 exercises per muscle group, 2-3 sets per exercise. Go to exrx.net to look up each muscle group and how to target it. This page gives their muscle directory: http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html
